COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Setting the standard once again. The South Carolina women’s basketball team led the country in attendance for the 11th-straight season.
The Gamecocks averaged a program-record 16,437 fans during the 2024-25 season, almost 1,500 more than the next team. South Carolina also surpassed 16,000 fans per game for the second-straight year.
For the season, South Carolina played in front of the nine largest crowds, with just the NCAA National Semifinals and Championship Game seeing more fans in the stands than the Gamecocks’ seven home sellouts.
South Carolina has led the nation in attendance since the 2014-15 season, averaging 12,293 fans per game.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, South Carolina is one season shy of Tennessee’s official NCAA-record streak of 11 seasons (2004-14) as the official attendance leader.
