The Alabama Crimson Tide football program has announced the addition of Jason Jones to their coaching staff. Jones, a former Alabama defensive back, will serve as an assistant to the defensive backs.
Jones brings a wealth of experience to the role, having coached defensive backs at various levels, including stops at Ole Miss, Indiana, and most recently, North Carolina. His addition comes after the departure of Colin Hitschler from the staff.
“We are excited to welcome Jason back to the Alabama family,” said head coach Nick Saban. “His experience and knowledge of the game will be invaluable to our defensive backs.”
Jones is expected to work closely with defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist to develop the young talent on the roster.
“I am thrilled to be back at Alabama,” said Jones. “It’s a dream come true to be able to contribute to the success of this program.”
Jones’ hiring is the latest move in what has been a busy offseason for the Crimson Tide. The team is looking to build on a successful 2024 season and compete for another national championship in 2025.
