Winnipeg Jets Honor Netflix for Upcoming Documentary Spotlighting Team’s Legacy
In a special ceremony held at the Canada Life Centre, the Winnipeg Jets honored Netflix for their upcoming documentary series that showcases the team’s rich history and legacy. The documentary, set to be released later this year, promises to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s journey, from their humble beginnings to their current status as a competitive force in the National Hockey League (NHL).
The ceremony, attended by Jets players, coaches, and management, as well as representatives from Netflix, was a celebration of the team’s legacy and the important role that Netflix has played in sharing their story with a global audience.
“We are thrilled to be working with Netflix on this documentary series,” said Mark Chipman, Chairman of True North Sports & Entertainment, the company that owns the Winnipeg Jets. “Their commitment to storytelling and their passion for hockey make them the perfect partner to help us share our team’s story with the world.”
The documentary series, which has been in production for over a year, features interviews with current and former Jets players, coaches, and staff, as well as archival footage and behind-the-scenes access to the team’s facilities and practices.
“We are excited to bring this story to life and share it with hockey fans around the world,” said a spokesperson for Netflix. “The Winnipeg Jets have a rich and fascinating history, and we are honored to have the opportunity to tell it.”

The ceremony included a special presentation to Netflix, in which the team presented them with a customized jersey and a plaque commemorating their partnership.
“We are proud to partner with Netflix on this documentary series, and we look forward to sharing our team’s story with the world,” said Kevin Cheveldayoff, General Manager of the Winnipeg Jets.
The documentary series is set to be released on Netflix later this year, and will be available to stream in over 190 countries around the world.
