Commanders star Terry McLaurin engaged to longtime girlfriend Caitlin Winfrey

Before Terry McLaurin and the Commanders lost to the Jets on January 15th, he announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Caitlin Winfrey in an Instagram post Saturday.

“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with the person who has my heart,” McLaurin, 28, wrote, as Winfrey unveiled her new ring. “Caitlin, I thank God for granting me favor and bringing our journey’s together. I am so excited to see what he has in store for us as we navigate this life hand and hand.”

McLaurin proposed to Winfrey at The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory before the pair posed for photos, with one picture he shared in the post captured at sunset and another showing the couple stepping into a boat.

“Home is wherever you are and I’m at my best when I’m with you. I love you,” he added in the Instagram comment, with a heart emoji at the end.

In past Instagram posts, McLaurin has written about what his relationship with Winfrey means, according to People.com.

His birthday tribute to Winfrey in 2024 included a line about how he’s “better because of you,” while in March, McLaurin wrote how Winfrey “can light up any room you walk into with your infectious personality.”

McLaurin was drafted in the third round of the 2013 draft, and the Indianapolis native has topped 1,000 yards in each of the past three seasons — and, with two games remaining in 2024, he needs 115 yards to reach that threshold again.
